Downhole Chemical Injection Valve Setting Procedure  
 
  1. Connect your pressure source into the 1/4” NPT port on the inlet to the valve.


  2. Remove the tapered guide tool nose cone from the bottom of the valve.


  3. Remove 3/16" allen head jamb set screw from the bottom end of the valve.


  4. To decrease valve’s discharge set point:
    1. Slowly raise the inlet pressure to the valve up to the desired set pressure.
    2. Insert a 3/16" allen wrench into the set pressure adjustment screw in the bottom end of the valve.
    3. Rotate the adjustment screw in the counter clockwise direction until the valve starts to discharge your setting fluid.
    4. Reinstall the jamb screw.
    5. Recheck the discharge set pressure and repeat steps C and D if necessary.
    6. Reinstall the guide tool nose cone and valve is ready for service.


  5. To increase valve’s discharge set point:
    1. Slowly raise the inlet pressure to the valve until the setting fluid starts to discharge.
    2. Insert a 3/16" allen wrench into the set pressure adjustment screw in the bottom end of the valve.
    3. While increasing the inlet fluid pressure rotate the adjustment screw in the clockwise direction until the valve discharges at the new set point.
    4. Reinstall the jamb screw.
    5. Recheck the discharge set pressure and repeat steps C and E if necessary.
    6. Reinstall the guide tool nose cone and valve is ready for service
